Stories are powerful. They share the way we see the world and our experiences living within the communities we are involved in.
Connecting Stories shares people’s stories to create a space for others to engage and understand, toward creating more inclusive, accepting and celebratory places for us all to live, work and play. We use all forms of media, including film, audio, writing and photographs, to help people engage with concepts of community, belonging, safety, ecology, identity and other relevant topics.
While digital storytelling has become common in our world of social media and easy access to technology, Connecting Stories is a little different. We specialise in gathering and sharing stories that relate to place and community building and curate these stories so as to not only create an online space for people to understand other perspectives but to also use stories to generate discussion and impact the way local decision making and planning happen.
Ferment Collaborate brings together people with passion and skills in community, culture, engagement, planning and decision making, placemaking and creative problem solving to gather stories in a way that encourages people to think about the types of places and structures we want to create, both collectively and individually.
