Alex is an artist and media maker with a keen interest in social justice and social change based in Alice Springs.
She has worked with Big hART since 2004 including as Creative Producer of the award winning Ngapartji Ngapartji project 2005-2010.
Alex has been on the board of a range of media, arts and political organisations (Arid Lands Environment Centre, RedHOT Arts, Engage Media), worked as a community liaison adviser to Senator Bob Brown, Leader of the Australian Greens in Canberra, and was crowned Miss Camel Cup 2008.
In 2008 Alex won the Australia Council for the Arts Kirk Robson award, for leadership in community engagement and cultural development, and was a YouthActionNet (Washington, USA) fellow. In 2010 she undertook an Australia Council residency at Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris.
She was a joint recipient of the 2011 NT Film Office Bob Plasto Fellowship. She directed the documentary Queen of the Desert for ABC2 in 2012.
