Leah Barclay is an Australian composer, sound artist and creative producer working internationally. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and has directed and curated intercultural projects across Australia, India and Korea. Barclay's PhD at the Queensland Conservatorium involved site-specific projects across the globe exploring the value of creativity in environmental crisis. In addition to her artistic practice, she consults on interdisciplinary research projects and serves in an advisory capacity for a range of arts and environmental organisations, including Ear to the Earth (New York), InterCreate (New Zealand) and The Australian Forum for Acoustic Ecology. She is currently the Artistic Director of Biosphere Soundscapes, an interdisciplinary art project connecting the soundscapes of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves across the world.
