I am Director of The Art of the Rural,  a collaborative multimedia organization with a mission to promote diverse, interdisciplinary narratives of contemporary rural arts and culture. I am also a poet, editor, and essayist, and currently a Visiting Writer and PhD Candidate in English and American Literature at Washington Unversity in Saint Louis.

I am a member of a fifth generation farming family from the Ohio Valley.
