In 2004, St John of God Hospital Murdoch began funding a Community Mental Health Service to offer accessible and low/no cost services for vulnerable population groups. In the first year 250 clients with anxiety and depression were seen. By 2010 the service had expanded and had 363 new clients. In total 2,600 clients from across the south metropolitan area of Perth have now accessed counselling. We now have 16 skilled caregivers who provide a number of services.
