Beth is lecturer in Music at Australian Catholic University.
Beth has a background in nursing, arts education, public health and equality and diversity. She has taught performing and visual arts, research methodologies and health and physical education. She has worked in the Faculties of Health Sciences and Education at La Trobe University and Faculty of Education at University of Melbourne.
Her primary research interests are in the arts and health and the arts as social justice.
She has worked in the early childhood area researching the impact of music and movement on the health of new parents and their babies. Her current research is an observational study of a public health community arts installation.
Beth has had several successful grants to work with disadvantaged rural youth. She has run two photography programs and a musical theatre program as a way of providing opportunities for participation or re-engagement with learning.
