Protecting and Enhancing Queensland's Natural Icons

Queensland supports the greatest level of the nation’s continental biodiversity. A new digital case study is now available for you to see how regional bodies and partners are protecting and enhancing this significant biodiversity and our natural icons.

Extensive work is being done to enhance and protect Queensland’s significant biodiversity and natural icons through appropriate use of fire, revegetating degraded areas, fencing and feral animal control programs, weed removal, minimizing human impacts on wildlife and reducing domestic grazing stock in areas of wildlife habitat at risk.

The second state-level digital story, Enhancing and Protecting Queensland’s Biodiversity and Natural Icons, shows examples of this work carried out through Regional NRM Bodies and partners.
