Miller City, Ohio (Population 136)

As is the case for most small towns, sporting events are the center of excitement for youth and adults alike.  Miller City is no different.  This is the sign you see as soon as you pass the corporation limit.  Our high school isn't large enough to have a football team (yes, much to the dismay of my friends) but gathering at basketball games truly brings the community together. There is often talk of the 1950's state championship basketball team when the topic of sports comes up. Welcome to Miller City, Ohio!

Renee, the love of local sports sounds familiar. Here's a story from the Daily Yonder about rural communities and basketball. http://www.dailyyonder.com/all-zekes-cabin-creek/2010/03/31/2670. It's by Dee Davis, who will be at the Youth Assembly.

Thanks Tim!  I enjoyed reading the story and I look forward to meeting Dee (and you if you will be attending as well!).
