Description
May 26 2013 was a beautiful day in Brisbane more especially in Darra. This day would mark the celebration of the completion of several community flood projects in Darra. To put Darra on the 'map' (one can easily lost trying to find this small community hall) an idea to cover a car, and the hall in Darra with scarves sent from across Queensland was truely a novel idea from Donna Tousaint Community Development Artist - to promote to the wider Brisbane public where Darra and the hall is located.
Over 200 people attended the intimate celebration to see the hall, the car and to unveil the Flood Marker Mosaic seat. Local groups provided food, entertainment, and local information about Darra.
