Description

Saviours of the Lost Arts (SotLA) is an initiative of Brisbane City Council which provided senior residents of Brisbane, Lovers of Craft, Young and Emerging craft workers, and professional artisans the opportunity to showcase and share their arts and crafts. It also developed networks and business skills to assist the growth of social enterprises within the city.

The program focused on seniors, the custodians of the 'lost arts', who had the opportunity to share their skills and engage in the intergenerational phenomenon that is developing around craft.

Free Craft Workshops were held for 2 weeks from May 24 - June 5, and held at Bleeding Heart, 166 Ann St, Brisbane.

The Craft Fair, held at King George Square on Tuesday 1st June (the first day of winter) was hosted by an eclectic range of craft makers to demonstate skills and sell beautiful hand crafted items.
