The drive up to the summit of Mount Archer is a steep 5 km drive featuring vegetation on both sides of the road and lookouts with easy roadside access. Most of Mount Archer vegetation is adapted to the seasonally dry conditions. Back burning is conducted in the open eucalypt forest. The rainforest also is home to spreading figs, barked scrub ironwoods, grassy trees and cycads.
