Roadside Bank

This photograph shows a bank that has been cut away in order to build Rudds Gully Road. This road provides transport routes for both the farming and transport industries. When this bank was cut away the vegetation that held it together was removed. As can be seen in the photograph this has resulted in water erosion which can have extreme effects on the environment. From this it can be seen that vegetation plays an important role in maintaining the environment.
