The Slab Hut- Kershaw Gardens
26 Sep 2013
Published To

The Slab Hut is one of the small pieces of history found within the Kershaw Gardens. The architecture of the Slab Hut reflects early pioneering housing in Rockhampton. Made from local timber the hut shows off features of the Australian bush. A pictorial seasonal calendar of flowers and fruits that grow within the Gardens are displayed for viewing in the Slab Hut, together with native flower arrangements and craft.

The Slab Hut is a constructed object as it was made/built by humans and is not a naturally occuring object. The Slab hut is also a managed object as the local council members regularly monitor its condition.
