Description
Cleveland Public Theatre's celebrated Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP), Cleveland's longest-running arts and job training program for urban teens, returned to Cleveland City Parks in the 2013 summer with an original new play And One Night.
And One Night, created and performed by the 2013 STEP ensemble, is an exciting re-imagining of Arabian Nights: One Thousand and One Nights. This family-friendly show follows a group of small-time thieves who think they know the path to a fulfilling life. Upon meeting a young woman who knows only the power of her imagination, they go on a transformational journey, meeting merciless kings, clever heroines and desperate souls. Packed with original music, dance and a cappella singing, And One Night explores the importance of self-reliance and the value of storytelling to enrich and inspire our lives.
