Description
Hindman Settlement School's Appalachian Family Folk Week provides an opportunity for individuals and families to share in a week of traditional Appalachian music, dance, crafts, storytelling, instrument playing and special children's activities. The goal is to promote awareness of the region's rich cultural heritage and to pass along traditional skills to younger generations.
All activities take place on the historic campus of Hindman Settlement School. Evening concerts and dances are open to the general public at no cost.
Plans are underway for the 37th annual Appalachian Family Folk Week at Hindman Settlement School. Mark your calendar for June 8-14, 2014.
