Walton Rural Life Festival
5 Jan 2014
Published To

The 8th Annual Walton Rural Life Festival Car and Antique Tractor show will be held in late September, 2014.

Live music, a car show, arts and crafts, a hayrack ride and a rededication are just a few things to experience at the Walton Rural Life Festival. The festival benefits the Walton Rural Life School.

Other than raising money for the Rural Life Center, Davis hopes the festival will bring about more town spirit and bring more people to Walton, whether they are citizens of Walton, people who do not usually visit Walton or people who went to school in Walton.

All the events are geared towards rural life and bringing things back to the community. Some of the main events are the Kids games, the Car show, the Craft fair, a petting zoo, a square dance, and many bands playing throughout the day.

At the end of the day, the Walton United Methodist Church will be rededicated after 90 years since it first opened. There will be a tour, followed by a singspiration then by a dinner.

This event is featured on the Year of the Rural Arts Calendar of Events. For more information on the Year of the Rural Arts, visit www.artoftherural.org
