Description

Doug Borwick's Gard Foundation mini-grant was used to partially fund travel expenses 1) to present a conference session "Teaching Community Engagement" for the Association of Arts Administration Educators 2013 conference in New Orleans on the pedagogy of community engagement and the work of the Robert E. Gard Foundation; and 2) to present a workshop (Mainstreaming Engagement) as a prelude to Arts Day 2013 sponsored by Arts Wisconsin.

Funding from the Wisconsin Arts Board made possible a symposium on community arts development and the arts.  Funding also made possible one-time mini-grants for activities or programs embodying  ideas discussed during the symposium, identified by board members.

This project was supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.
