Pius Wasi arrived from Lae, PNG, in September to take up a three month residency under Stage One of the Pacific Exchange Program, an initiative of the Australian Council’s Community Cultural Development Fund. Pius worked extensively with local PNG communities and the Multicultural Choir to present original music and dance based on PNG cultural traditions at the Pacific Cultural Day. Pius also designed the stunning backdrop, which was painted by community artists.
