The Clarence Floodplain is home to 3 commonly seen native waterlilies.Like all water plants, lilies provide important habitat, food and shade for the fish and frogs, bugs and reptiles of our waterways and wetlands. You can see all 3 of these lilies at places such as Cowans Pond, Alumy Creek, and some of the Coldstream wetlands. You will see other types of colourful lilies in ponds and dams in the valley but these are not native to the floodplain.
