Description
Our purpose is to bring vibrancy and strength to the profile of Central Queensland and the Rockhampton district through the arts.

How does one diminish the 'boring' with new values, in the welfare housing hot spots places, such as Mt Druitt, Logan and Rockhampton? This is one of those stories at great expense and intrigue, informing and delight .

Described by the Australia Council for the Arts as, "arguably the most comprehensive community cultural development undertaking in the country". Our outcomes of events, exhibits, cultural mapping, arts enterprises and publication, span two decades of consistent commitment to our goals.

Funded by 500 regional business arts sponsors, philanthropists and the artist. In recent years we have been very grateful for loans from the enlightened regions of Germany and Japan, given the lack of Australian regional arts funding. Expenditure to date exceeds $1.3 million of private sector commitment, yet we became displaced to mainstream arts administration, the regional arts gatekeepers who rely on the government handouts, highlighting the great national divide.

The recent Creative Industries Trade Mission (CQ) to Tokyo and Singapore provide some exciting re-purposing direction for our love and investment in regional cultural development.
