Description
Intergenerational project incorporating traditional owner elders from the Gooniyandi and Walmajarri language groups of the Bayulu community which is 20 Kms from Fitzroy Crossing in the Fitzroy Valley in WA. Indigenous Elders were interviewed by school children about stories that they were told by their parents that related to the Fitzroy River. The children then created a large performance for the community utilising: theatre, documentary, animation, puppetry, circus and dance.
Audience members travelled over 100km to attend the performance!
This is only one community arts project our of many that we do each year.
