Description

This painting became the name of an Exhibition at the National Gallery in Victoria in 1996. The painting describes the very brave fight for freedom of the Vietnamese people under the world of communism. Many boat people fought for freedom through their Death. They usually escaped out of Saigon at Midnight. We can say that the Vietnamese Freedom Seekers fought for freedom to find their Midnight Sun. From 1976 to 1985 there were almost half a million Vietnamese Boat people who died on the South China Sea. Many millions successfully escaped.
