Art school of the brick factories

We set up our 'art school' in front of some of the brick workers' houses - they build these temporary homes each year when they come to the region from far off parts of Nepal and India.

There are no luxuries.

We create art where we can and with what is available.  There are no tables or hard surfaces so we use cut up boxes for support. Most people here have had no education; children and adults crowd in around me eager to learn, and even more eager to start drawing!

As the project develops, more and more people attend and commit hours of their precious and limited non-work time to art making.
