This project was conceived by Peter Keelan and supported by Denmark Arts and its director Vivienne Robertson, as part of the Brave New Works Festival.

The aim of the project was to recognise the elderly people in our community, their extraordinary stories and lives, as integral members of our community. We interviewed 26 elders and then responded to each of those interviews with local creative minds and performers, writers, poets, singers, dancers using theatre and sophisticated digital video mapping techniques and live music.

Denmark Arts is the local arts organisation supporting a raft of arts projects in and around our community.

The project gained $33,300 funding support from Festivals Australia, in kind support from Denmark Arts and through ticket sales and income from workshops leading up to the two final events (two full houses and two standing ovations!!)
