On 27 November 1999, Melbourne Community Gamelan performed in a concert of Central Javanese music, dance and wayang (shadow puppetry) at Footscray Community Arts Centre. This was a benefit concert for Timor Leste. We performed in the amphitheatre and found it a great space. Happy birthday, FCAC!
