southern forest

A 1.2 kilometre-walking trail with just under twenty permanent works and an ever-changing series of ephemeral pieces. They’re predominatelyWest Australian artists but we have a mix, nationally and internationally. And it’s not just visual arts, it’s multi arts. Writers, musicians as well. There are five tours and visitors listen on MP3 players to stories for kids and youth and music. And there are funny, personal anecdotes from all the artists saying why they chose to make this and why they put it there and so on. It’s a very site specific project: everyone had to come here, spend time and meet people before we’d even let them develop a project for us.
