Revealing the secrets of our groundwater
20 Mar 2011

A 2 million dollar project has helped to fill in the gaps in our knowledge of Eyre Peninsula's precious ground water. EP Natural Resources Management Board partnered with the Australian Government’s National Water  SA Water and the State Government to fund the project. Technical investigations were carried by a by a team of scientists from the NRM Board, Flinders University, SA Water, CSIRO and private consultants. The work included the potential impacts of climate change, a review of current monitoring, mapping ecosystems dependent on groundwater and the relationship between soils, vegetation and recharge. Pictured are Damian Newham of Australian Water Environments and Terry Boyce of EPNRM.
