Bundaberg Landcare

Bundaberg Landcare is a very active group helping to co-ordinate 3 working bees each month. One working bee removes cat’s claw creeper from riverine rainforest, another works at Kelly’s Creek at Bargara and the other is in Baldwin Swamp Conservation Park. Bundaberg Landcare is a strong advocate for the protection and restoration of local natural areas and the group works closely with Bundaberg Regional Council to ensure the best outcome for our natural areas. The group also runs a native plant nursery in the Bundaberg Campus of TAFE Horticultural Section and uses the nursery to educate the community of the need to grow local native plants. The nursery is open for plant sales from 10am-4pm every Thursday and Friday and we are always looking for volunteers to help in the nursery
