Actions for Clean Water
17 Jun 2011

A group of natural resource management organisations in the Upper Murrumbidgee River catchment have pooled resources and funding and will come together on Wednesday, 1 June 2011 in Queanbeyan to commence the development of the Actions for Clean Water (ACWA) Plan. The ACWA Plan will identify strategies to enhance surface water quality and reduce turbidity in the Upper Murrumbidgee River catchment across NSW and the ACT. The Australian, NSW and ACT Governments have also contributed funding through the Murrumbidgee CMA and the ACT Natural Resource Management Council towards the ACWA Plan.

The collaborative project will undertake all work necessary to develop a plan of action in 1, 3 and 10 year time frames. Actions may include on-ground works, education, promotion, policy and program development by private sector, government organisations and individuals.
