Published To

Meet Ben Haines, of Looking Back Farm, in eastern North Carolina. Ben and his father have been farming organically for more than twenty years. Learn about what other farmers in the area think about organic, the importance of a portable feed mill in his community, and Ben's philosophy on the current state of agriculture. The Tobacco Communities Reinvestment Fund (TCRF) assists farmers in developing new sources of agricultural income through provision of cost-share grants. This story is part of a series documenting innovative farmers throughout the state of North Carolina. This program is made possible with support from the North Carolina Tobacco Trust Fund Commission.
