Mountain Song (Let Them Roll)

Can you have mountain music without mountains? That sounds like a silly question, but where I live in Central Appalachia, it's not a purely academic question. I wrote this song in response to two threats to my region: mountaintop removal coal mining in some parts of Appalachia, and unbridled commercial development in other areas. Both these practices make lots of money for a few people at the expense of the community and its future.

great song. Perhaps it will inspire us all in the fight to keep our mountain tops so we can live in the valleys below.
