Growing up I spent every summer in the high Sierras at Echo Lake, two pine and granite faced lakes without roads or electricity. Located in El Dorado National Forest & the Lake Tahoe watershed, policymakers, developers & the public have spent over 40 years struggling to find a balance between the interests of cabinholders and the public (not always the same) & the need to protect a fragile wilderness eco-system. We are not there yet...
