Broadband Anchor Institutions: Recommended Standards To Ensure Access
6 Jul 2011
Published To

This one pager was drafted February 2010 to address the gaps in public internet access for homeless individuals and other marginalized communities.  Anchor Institutions refers to public access points that people utilize in order to connect to the internet.  This includes libraries, government centers, schools and others.   The one pager makes some concrete recommendations for how to build more inclusive "anchor institutions".

The document was drafted in partnership with Main Street Project, Open Access Connections (formerly Twin Cities Community Voicemail), Minnesota Center for Neighborhood Organizing and the People Escaping Poverty Project.  Collectively they represent the Minnesota Digital Justice Coalition
