Eleanor Schonell Bridge

Brisbane City Council has built Australia’s first pedestrian, cycle and bus bridge between The University of Queensland's (UQ) St Lucia campus and Dutton Park.

Students, staff and visitors to the St Lucia campus currently make an average of 70,000 trips to and from the campus every day during a semester. This makes UQ the largest generator of trips in Brisbane, after the CBD.

The Eleanor Schonell Bridge, formerly known as the Green Bridge, will help manage the impact this travel demand has on our city by reducing the traffic volume though the CBD and along north-west arterial roads.
