The National Law University conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), New Delhi to admit students for its five-year B.A LL.B program. Approximately 17,475 law aspirants appeared in 2018 AILET exams, of which 73 got selected for the program. Eligibility Criteria

       Candidates who have passed 10+2 and scored a minimum of 50 percent are eligible to appear in the examination.

       Candidates who are yet to appear in 10+2 examinations can also apply for the examination test.

       There’s no age restriction for candidates applying in AILET.

AILET 2019 Application Form Filling Process

Aspirants can fill up the AILET 2019 application form online by visiting the official website of NLU, New Delhi. Here’s the procedure to do so:

       Visit the official website of AILET

       Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link on the website

       Fill in details, including contact number, name, email id, father’s name, mother’s name, address, and date of birth.

       Click on the registration button, and it will redirect you to the Application Locker page to confirm the details provided by you.

Filling the Form

       Choose the college from the list of options provided and click on the ‘Click here to Apply’ option.

       Select the course

       Click on ‘Apply Now’ button

       Fill out the online application form

Documents Upload

       Upload the scanned copies of supporting documents

       Make sure they adhere to the guidelines for uploading photos mentioned on the website

Fee Payment

       The application fee can be paid online via debit card/credit card/net banking.

Other Things to Know

       The AILET 2019 registration forms will be available from January 3.

       The last date to submit AILET application form is April 7.

      Admit card is issued online during April. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of NLU.

 General category applicants have to pay INR 3050, and SC/ST candidates have to pay INR 1050 to apply for AILET.

Preparing for AILET

Applicants must go ahead with subject-wise preparation for the exam. Here are the sections in the entrance exam.

General English - The test section comprises of 35 questions in the form of synonyms, jumble words, comprehension passages, idioms etc.

General Knowledge - The paper consists of 35 general questions covering history, civics, current affairs, geography, and economics of the last one year.

Mathematics - 10 questions to test the numeric ability of the applicant. The problems are set from 10th and 12th level.

Legal Aptitude - The section has 35 questions based on legal propositions and facts that will test the interest of the application in law and their problem-solving ability.

Logical Reasoning - The section has around 35 questions to analyse the logical and analytical skills of the applicant.

AILET Result

       The result of the AILET entrance test is released on the official website. Candidates have to login with their registration/roll number and password to access the results.

Cracking AILET is difficult because of less number of seats available. Therefore, the applicant must start preparing for the exam much in advance, which could be anywhere from 1-2 years before they sit for the test.
