THE ROAD WE’RE ON was a major community theatre work that premiered as part of the 2009 Queensland Music Festival. Featuring over 120 community members, the production explored the history of the region and community aspirations looking towards the future. A team of high-level creatives including a composer, writer, director and producer, worked with the community over several months developing the story, building skills and preparing for the QMF 2009 premiere. Participant and audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive, both in terms of developing individual skills and confidence, and strengthening the community through broad involvement in a positive shared experience.
