Mackay Whitsunday RLF

I am one of three, part time Regional Landcare Facilitators for the Mackay Whitsunday region, which occupies a narrow coastal strip of the central QLD coast, covering almost 940 000 ha. I am based in the Sarina Catchment, the southern end of the region. Within the Sarina Catchment, the most intensive agricultural land use is sugarcane cropping and the most extensive is grazing; both of which coexist with a growing peri-urban or rural residential sector, set against a backdrop a number of National Parks.
