Sydney's Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked by the NSW State Emergency Service to relocate to the flood-stricken town of Moree to assist local emergency services with rescue operations, particularly after dark. 

The helicopter crew and a Liaison Officer flew to Moree on the afternoon of Friday, 3rd February and remained in the area until Monday, 6th February.
