Going home alone

Going home without my baby was a very saddening experience. Family and friends were unsure whether to send flowers and cards at first. The beautiful flowers and best wishes I did receive  lifted my spirits.

A breast pump was hardly a substitute for my son but I knew that the expressed milk I delivered to the hospital every day would make a difference for him.
