  • Creating links to the broader reconstruction process especially for public artists
  • Artists capacity is limited yet the requests are increasing, this has meant a lot of focus on capacity building, access to other orgs and practitioners, training opportunities
  • Artists are suffering financially following the disasters. Many are engaging in community based creative recovery projects (painting, exhibitions, photos of the disaster, storytelling projects) for little or no remuneration. Existing grants and support structures are either on hold, seemingly to hard to access or cease to exist.
