Winners were grinners yesterday when Holbrook Landcare mustered more than 25 farmers to hear Mick Keogh from The Australian Farm Institute discuss risk management and carbon farming options. Mick used a simulation game to practice enterprise mix and risk management including carbon trading. The winning team made $2.4M in five years from their virtual 1000Ha blitzing the competition in an exciting showdown. Participants said the session helped them understand the Carbon Farming Initiative and the opportunities in our district in a fun way. This event was part of an Australian Government CFI Communications program delivered by the Regional Landcare Facilitator and Holbrook Landcare Network.
