Description

Tasty Fresh is a catering social venture that trains and employs disadvantaged women, many of whom suffer with mental health issues and have experienced long term unemployment.

Tasty Fresh is transforming the lives of these women who have been discarded by society. Many have encountered major personal and physical barriers to employment – Tasty Fresh helps remove these barriers by providing confidence, skills and a support network that helps women to help themselves.

The Westpac Foundation Catalyst Grant will have an incredible effect on Tasty Fresh, allowing it to go from struggle to success, from plodding to power-packed! This funding will employ additional program staff, including positions for those previously deemed ‘unemployable’.  It will provide women with valuable job skills and training, breaking the cycle of long term unemployment. Tasty Fresh will then focus on expanding product lines that help the community and more marginalised women, including healthy lunchboxes, workshops and frozen meals.

We value Westpac Foundation’s investment in social infrastructure that will transform the lives of disadvantaged women.
