Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary is a wonderful marine environment on sandstone reefs forming the largest shore platform in Port Phillip Bay. There are a variety of habitats, from intertidal rock pools, seagrass beds, sponge gardens and kelp covered reefs that all contribute to its rich biodiversity. Many species such as rays, crabs, sea stars and Port Jackson sharks (which return to the sanctuary each summer) provide a highlight for snorkelers and divers.
