Vasse Wonnerup Wetlands: Western Australia
28 Sep 2012
Published To

The Ramsar listed Vasse Wonnerup wetlands support thousands of resident and migratory waterbirds annually. The system is of high conservation value and also has significant cultural, social and economic values. The wetlands have been heavily modified though human activities and face a range of threats including eutrophication, loss of fringing vegetation, increasing sedimentation and alterations to the hydrology of the system. The challenge for those working to manage wetlands is now more complex than ever due to our changing climate.
