Womens Wellness Day Widgee- 15th November 2012

What a great day it was at Widgee on Thursday!  It was a beautiful, peaceful day with a great atmosphere and a gorgeous setting.

Thirty one ladies attended, with 12 therapists and five other helpers,  plus the lovely ladies from the Widgee Community Complex, who were a fantastic help.  Providing each of the ladies three vouchers for massages, healing etc worked very well as they thought about which treatments they would experience and it also allowed the therapists to take their time with the treatments and have an opportunity to talk.

The vibe was very positive with the ladies talking about how they nurture themselves now and how they could improve it in the future by having a massage or treatment more often.  So with the aim of the Wellness Days being to get people thinking about their wellbeing, this was the best yet in that respect.  And the laughter yoga was a great stress buster as well as good exercise!

Reminder, ember we have two follow up workshops as per the attached flyers on 30th November and 6th December at the Widgee Community Complex, which are open to anyone, so please spread the word on Facebook or via the Widgee School or any of your friends.  They will only be small groups so there will be a completely different atmosphere.

So that makes a total of nine Wellness Days in the Gympie Region in the last 13 months attracting 347 attendees and having a total of 193 therapists and helpers catering to their needs.

Wendy hopes to organise a couple more Wellness Days in the first part of 2013.
