Local plans are being developed in a number of communities throughout the Brisbane area. These plans are created by the community for the community and include locally relevant information which the residents can use to help each other during times of disaster. Key areas of focus include community assets and skills, communication, coordination, assisting affected and vulnerable residents, governance and sustainability of the plan. Community workshops and events will be held in a number of communities to discuss these key topics of discussion in terms of being prepared.
