My first visit with my twin borther Allan to the City Hall was about 1938/39 to a school concert conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent. The children had to sing 'Land of Hope and Glory.

During the late 1950s, Allan and I had to demonstrate two ballroom dances on the City Hall stage to a packed audience. The pianist was Dr Robert Boughen on organ. My most memorable day, early 1980s was when I was a member of the Wynnum Bayside Photographic Club. We were invited by the Lord Mayor, Frank Sleeman, to take photographs throughout City Hall for an audio visual display for Brisbane City Council. Since 2002, I have been with the 50+ Club art class.

This photo shows Allan on the left and me on the right.
