Coorparoo Quilters

Published To

Coorparoo Quilters commenced from a small beginning in 1984 and was incorporated as a 'not for profit' organisation in June 2008. Our first quilt show was held at Queen Alexandra Home - Coorparoo in 1987 and since then a show has been held every two (2) years to actively promote our craft to the wider community. Membership has fluctuated from 60-90 members over a period of 27 years.

The group promotes the art of quilt making bringing persons of like interests together and encourages a high degree of workmanship for the benefit of local charities including The Cancer Council of Queensland, Multiple Sclerosis, Local Children's hospitals, Meals on Wheels, Cerebral Palsy and other needy groups in the community. Generally our group assists people of all ages and nationality contributing to the well being of those less fortunate than ourselves.
