Acreage in the Middle of Brisbane

Dear Justin

These are some of your photos taken in 2012. Mum and Dad moved to Brisbane in 2006 from the Gold Coast and absolutely love this beautiful multicultural city. We chose to live close to the river in South Bank and this has provided us with some amazing opportunities to explore this city together.

We often take you to play in some of the many parks in this area such as Orleigh Park and Kurilpa Park, followed by a picnic. Dumplings 饺子  are one of your favourites - you are half Chinese after all :-D. We also like to walk along the riverside of South Bank or Boundary Street in central West End, and visit the Children's Art Centre in GoMA, the Museum/Sciencentre and The Corner located inside the State Library of Queensland. Some days we like to go for a ride on the bus, ferry or train, or simply do our regular shopping in West End or the City. On a hot summer's day, a splash in the water on the Street Beach is usually on the cards.

Mum and Dad enjoy walking everywhere. It keeps us fit and helps to reduce unnecessary car use. Next year, we will be cycling as a family - you will be able to ride your own bicycle by then. We often jokingly say living in this area is almost like living on acreage. You will be forty-nine in 2059, right in the middle of the Asian Century, and perhaps have your own family. Whatever you end up doing, Mum and Dad hope that you live a healthy, happy and fulfilling life.

Lots of love

Mum and Dad
