Greetings from Greece

Hello, hello

Here I am, by the sea, in Naxos island in Cyclades on summer holiday. As you all know Greece is surrounded by the sea, so water seems to be the most refreshing part of our identity.

As for me, I am teaching in a Lyceum in Palaio Faliro, Athens. I am both a philologist and a drama/theatre teacher. I use drama to teach my students and I prepare theatre performances with them.

The “Water Reckoning” project as a tribute to Dorothy Heathcote is a great challenge for me. First of all, I love everything that has to do with water. Then, I met Dorothy Heathcote three or four years ago, when she was 82 years old, in another Greek island, Spetses. She was teaching us non stop, from 8:00a.m. to 8:00p.m., for a whole week, without showing any tiredness. She was an inspiration to everyone!

Finally, the combination of drama, digital technologies, sustainability issues and intercultural relationships and understanding, embedded in this project, is really fascinating for me and I think it will be for my teenagers in High School.

I like adventure and I like sharing this one with all of you!!!

Just what we all dream of Xenia - holidays on a Greek isle!  How wonderful that you got to have that experience with Mrs Heathcote and on another Greek Isle.
